“Performing was always an extremely scary experience for me. I would feel uneasy in my stomach and start sweating and shaking and breathing quickly and when I would perform I found that I lost contact and connection with my fingers and I could no longer control my own movements. When you can’t control your own body or mind on the stage where it matters most, it’s a scary thing. As I got older I began to experience physical pain in my body, especially my heart and my ears right before I got on stage to perform and it got to the point where I would feel that pain several hours before my performance. In our first initial meeting, Sharon gave me some tools I could use to change my thinking. A few weeks later, I had another performance and I used the tools and techniques Sharon taught me, and wow did they work. Not only that, but for the first time in my life I felt calm, relaxed and I actually really enjoyed my performance instead of dreading it.
